CorePower Hot Yoga

The perfect 3-day trifecta. A Saturday evening strength workout, long trail run on Sunday, and this hot yoga session Monday evening.

I attended the CorePower yoga studio in LoHi with a buddy and his girlfriend. We arrived about 5 minutes early, but in reality 15 minutes late. Before heading to change, I took a peek in the small studio for use and noticed that it was packed. There were so many people, that I was ready to back out. I didn’t want to make a hassle for three additional mats.

However, a guy in the locker room overheard us talking and said that people are more than accommodating and willing to move. Compelled, we made our way into the studio. Separated, but we all fit; plus two more after us. I don’t think it was physically possible to get another mat in the studio.

After having a moment to settle in, this extremely hot and sweaty room instantly became pleasurable. I knew right away it was going to be fun, especially sharing this experience with many others.

Noticing I was directly in the path of the vent, 108° was no joke. I dripped and leaked like a broken faucet the entire session. I felt exhilarated through deep breathing and fluidly moving from position to position.

Halfway through the session I noticeably hear the room get louder with pants and heavy breathing. To know that others are suffering too, this makes it that much more enjoyable.

I felt absolutely amazing after this workout!

The instructor mentioned she’ll be playing harder dub and trap music next week. We’re totally going back!

We ate at Bartaco afterwards and crushed a handful of fresh hipster tacos. The ahi and fried avocado are bomb!
