This was supposed to be a strength and core, 1:00. Mistakenly, I completed the below.
5 min Hill Threshold, 1:00
After a good warm up on a hilly course, find a hill that is 6-8% grade and at least 5min long. Do 5x5min at Threshold HR. Recovery is time to descend easy (about 5 min). Finish run with easy running.

Wrong Workout!
Damn! I read the calendar wrong. I would much rather have done a strength workout. I checked the directions three time today; for the wrong day. At least I was appropriately dressed.
This run was a bit challenging, but also fun. Everything feels good, normal after-run soreness. During the final uphill’s, I had some tightness in my left hip and left Achilles. I’m assuming the left-side tension is a natural adaptation from the mechanical changes caused by the orthotics? Towards the end my foot was sore in the arch, but not so much on the sesamoid.
I now notice my left foot strike covers more of the meaty portion on the outside foot, ultimate not landing directly on the sesamoid and working as designed. The orthotics have me thinking about every step, even at work now. It’s an interesting type of focus.
