Mt. Kinabalu — Two Days in Motion

This was two days in motion, condensed into about twenty minutes.

The footage is from Mt. Kinabalu in Borneo, Sabah, Malaysia — moving steadily up and down the mountain, holding the GoPro, letting the terrain unfold as it does. There’s a lot of walking. A lot of green. Long stretches where nothing dramatic happens at all.

I talk a little throughout — not scripted, just thoughts that surfaced along the way. No stops. No rush. Just continuous movement and whatever shows up when the pace is controlled.

Trail running — or hiking days like this — aren’t glamorous. They don’t need to be. They’re quiet, repetitive, sometimes grungy, and often misunderstood. But there’s something grounding about moving through a place like this without urgency, without noise, without needing anything from it.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it.
